If you have not added your business to the "Company Lookup" please do so.
Have had emails sent to us such as this:
"I was looking for a repair shop. I came here to verify the membership of Company Name Removed repair and found that they are not listed as they claim to be. If this is in error, please let me know so that I may proceed in my dealings with them."
The consumers are looking in the Company Lookup and not seeing the business they are searching for listed.

We not have added a "Reviews" section to the "Company Lookup" section. If you have been provided service from one of the listed businesses please feel free to leave a review.

The site has been in the works for some time and due to the growth of the Association it was really needed. The old site worked but did not have the capabilities that the new site encompasses. Some of the things within the new site are:
Company Lookup – This is for Association Members to list their business and also for consumers to search for Members. Plus, it has “waysearch” built into it so it opens a map for the customers to find you. Make sure you use the “meta keywords” and “meta description” when submitting your business. You need to submit your own listing otherwise I would do it. But, if you do your own you can edit it whenever you'd like. One issue is the module is called SOBI and you can only submit thru Mozilla. Hopefully a fix is in the works.
Blog – A blog has been incorporated into the site and like other blogs it has meta tags incorporated into it so feel free to fill them out if you decide to submit something for posting.
Forums – Forums are incorporated and a section is for Consumers to post some questions and then Association members once logged in have more forums to choose from which consumers do not have access to.
Chat – Once logged in you will see a “Chat” module has been installed and that is only visible by Association members.
Documents – We have a documents section that will be populated.
Vendor Specials – This is where all Preferred Vendors items are listed along with the discounts they are providing.
Membership – The Association is “free” and will continue that way but we have also included a “Premium Member” option. This will run $25 per year. What you get with that is a Membership Card, Membership Certificate, and a Quarterly Newsletter that you can edit with your business details and send to your customers. We also are planning on offering a yearly scholarship(s). This will be based on the amount of “Premium Members”; you will be able to use the scholarship materials in your local area as a marketing tool.
If you were already on the old site your login information is First Initial and Last Name
Example: John Smith would login as jsmith
Login Name and Password are the same. You can change once logged in. If you want your username changed just send us an email and it will get changed.

The Association is still "free" to join. The only difference is now we are going to have a "Premium Membership". What that means is for "Premium Members you will receive:
* Membership Card
* Certificate of Membership
* Quarterly Newsletter (you can edit with the appropriate information for your business and use it for your customers)
The "fees" collected for the Premium Membership will be used for maintaining the site, printing what you receive, advertising to consumers, and also to start a yearly scholarship fund for those students who will be pursuing a career in the Information Technology field. With the scholarship fund you can use the materials in your community schools.

As most of you have already noticed we now have a new site. I'd like to personally thank those involved in making it a huge success.
The new site is a Joomla portal with all kinds of modules and extras thrown in. As you can see we have forums, chat, a blog and some other extras.
If you think something else needs to be added in order to suit your needs please let us know.
