Good Customer Service – How important is it?

Posted by: jleslie

Tagged in: Untagged

I just wanted to take the time to share a little story with everyone.

In the last months I have received calls from two businesses requesting information regarding my services. They both stated that the were looking to switch away from their current IT provider. It turns out they both were using the same company. After a few moments I lead the conversation to ask "why are you looking to switch providers". As it turns out the responses were identical. The "other" company was slow to call back and their appearance/attitude wasn’t very professional.

Why did I feel the need to share this with everyone. Good customer service equates to good referrals. Take the extra minute to chat with a customer or take a few extra minutes to answer a question "off the clock". You may be amazed as the results it brings in terms of referrals and we all know where a majority of clients come from in our business. Both of my potential new clients were referrals from current clients of Leztek.

Good Luck!

Due to the recent survey, and wanting to build the Association into a larger source for all members for sources of information we are proud to announce our newest site TechSupportQA.com "Technical Support and Questions & Answers". Unlike your typical forums, this site is simply for "Questions & Answers", no small talk, no chit-chat. The added benefit is you can provide "Video & Audio" to it vice just text.

The site is TechSupportQA.com and stands for "Technical Support Questions & Answers". Unlike other sites that are your typical Q&A sites there is "NO" fee for this site. You gain points for each question, each answer and "best" answer. There are a lot of techs out there with great knowledge and enjoy sharing with others. This site rewards you for that.

We have added a new menu option and it's called "Request Service". This is for all consumers, businesses and nationals that would like to have work performed or requested from an Association member.

This is one way to make it easy on the consumer and that is for them to submit the problem they are having, the requirements they are looking for or just general information and we will put them in contact with correct Association member.

So far a great response to the survey and some valuable input. Appreciate all the input and if you have not had a chance to fill out the survey yet you still have a few days.
